I needed a bag of some kind for going to the gym and just carrying junk to and from my truck. Yeti makes a bag called the camino carry all. I really liked it and almost bought one, but felt it was a little big for my needs. And I'm cheap. I also recently bought a box full of rolls of seat belt webbing at a garage sale for $10. I made the camo one first. It ended up bigger than i wanted, so i made another and dialed in some of the things i learned on the first one. Camo one is 500d cordura. Other one is waxed canvas. Nothing fancy but i think they will see a lot of use.

It took a lot of design planning to figure out how to do it but i managed to make another one with 5mm eva foam for structure. The others are just awfully purse like. This one has more of the tool bag vibe i was going for. The foam being rigid made the sewing difficult because it just does not flex out of the way like plain fabric. Some seam straigtness suffered as a result.

Awesome idea, my dad scrapped a car the other day and I had him cut out all the seatbelts for my sewing projects. I might have to make him one of these

Nice little project! Did you use an existing pattern or is this something you created on your own?
I just winged it. Drew out the bottom shape I wanted and then measured the perimeter of it to figure out the length of the main piece. Realized it would be really easy to add side pockets under the webbing, so cut some to fit.
