Counting down to my Wyoming antelope hunt with Hunting with Heroes in Riverton, WY.. Looking forward to my first ever guided hunt, going to be interesting not having to scout or wonder if I’m going to the right area. All I gotta do is hit what I’m aiming at, new rifle, new loads no pressure.

Congrats, don't over think the shooting portion, you'll be fine. Just enjoy the trip and post up some pics. We dont leave until the 28th and it's killing me..........

Antelope are a fun hunt. They are very visible - you're gonna have fun.

Keep your nerves under control and shoot straight!

11 and a wake-up. Load dialed, rifle dialed, bring on the goats!
A short walk to get where I wanted it, then boom, done.

Good luck! I’d leave the bullets at camp the first couple days or it’ll be over before you know it!

Congrats BFR. Were you in 67? Me and two others had tags in 66 and ran into 3 hunters from Tennessee with Hunting with Heros in 67 and two locals that were their "guides" at dinner one evening. They had all 3 killed nice bucks that day and the locals were friendly enough to give us a few tips on places in the unit to concentrate our efforts.

In country in 68/69. Yeah, not sure they were pros but they were extremely familiar with the animals and all hunts are on private property with the owners making sure they knew where the bigger animals were. All in all I couldn’t be happier with the whole operation, pros or not. Plus, I also have the chance to go back for a buck deer, and going home with a new Henry Golden Boy 22 rifle.

Oops was in unit 97/117 Riverton Wy.

To all you heading to Wyoming, good luck, be patient, wait for a big one.

Heading out in 2 weeks, never been to WY, never been Antelope hunting. Me and a buddy have rifle tags. Going to be really hard to not knock down the first one we see ha
