Could we get Boyd’s to make a Rokstok?

I’d imagine there’s a reason this hasn’t happened, but I figured I’d ask.

@Ryan Avery @Unknown Munitions

Is there a chance that you could do the same thing with Boyd’s that you’ve done with Stocky’s? Have them make laminate Rokstoks for Tikka. They seem to have super reasonable prices, so I’d assume there would be plenty of room for profit margin for you. Obviously, I’d like one of Mike’s stocks, but at near $2k, it’s gonna be awhile. I think a Boyd’s version that requires minor user fitment, bedding, etc would be great at $500-$600. I’d buy one. Just asking

Same! But my wallet also has to have that ability, and it currently doesn’t lol. I’m just hoping there’s an affordable option to shoot with wood!

Yes, I didn’t mean to sound as though I was disparaging you.

Nearly all of us have some financial limitations. If I can’t get more consistent hours at my current job, I might have to give up my wonderfully flexible work-from-home arrangement.

It doesn’t help that my rifle collection seems to be a hydra. Every time I sell a rifle, at least one new one appears.

That stock design is awful.
Agree 100%. Thought is if someone wants a laminate RS to either approach this company or buy the closest thing and DIY. Basics platform to start from and is inexpensive.

I stumbled on to this site while looking for a wood stock for a Kimber. I have no idea who they are or the quality. They look cheesy IMO. But I do want a RS for the Kimber 84M.

If UM does offer an inlet for the Kimber 84 I’ll order a carbon for certain. I am really liking both of my RS. I am stuck with high rings and spacers to get to 14.5 LOP. But I do find the hand position better than any others I own.

I may end up modifying the factory stock at some point. Waiting on Kampfeld on the cut and thread.

When I have time I may order one to test. Don’t see a lot I liked other than price.
Yeah that’s pretty rough design! However, this one could work. Cut down and flatten the rear section of the toe to be parallel with the forend, and have them leave extra wood on the comb to be above bore, then taper it like the RS. They could also leave extra wood in the grip area for shorter reach and more vert. Richard’s will leave extra wood where you want them to …

The above being said, I’d prefer for Boyd’s to just make a laminate Rokstok. It’d be a whole lot simpler that way, even if I need to install pillars and bed it myself.
