Could the Scenar benefit from a nose ring?

I fell in love with the Scenar in theory after reading all of the kills on other forums, but real life performance has shown it to have a long neck and variable results. With the nose ring cuts in a DTAC creating bigger, more consistent wound channels, what's the consensus on cutting a nose ring in a Scenar?

I’ve wondered the same thing about a nose ring sierra match king? I’m guessing somebody at some point will start testing different nose ringed bullets. It will be interesting to see how they compare terminally to tipped match bullets.

There's not much of a consensus because it hasn't been done by many... Likely due to the cost of the tool. I think @eoperator gel tested some nose rings on close tipped match bullets at one point and the neck lengths were still long. Hopefully he'll chime in here.

The DTAC is a matchking.

The same as all OTM’s or HPBT match bullets do.

It can’t hurt them. I guess I would ask why? What is the Scenar giving you with a NR that other bullets aren’t?

The purpose behind it would be to use up all my Scenars that are just sitting there. Granted, I could consume them just by shooting at the range, but I'd like to also use them confidently on game too. I just thought the NR would be a way to make them that much more consistent in their upset. It's also just something that struck me that with all the talk of Scenars, I've never seen a nose ring discussion on them to improve their performance.

The nose ring tool is quite expensive to shoot some bullets up….

For me- it would probably help them, but objectively the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. If I had 10,000 of them, or they were free- maybe I guess I would. But the better part of $1,000 for some bullets… nah.
