Just wondering if someone could run some numbers on my arrow set up and tell me how the spine is? Shooting a Hoyt vector 32 @ 27.5" draw. Arrows are Easton ACC pro hunter 340 cut @ 27" with a brass 50 insert and 100 gr tip. Thanks for any help.

On the Ontarget2 software it has it as slightly weak with FOC of 14.5%. That's with the hunting filter, under target filter it says good spine.

Hmmm, would it be better to spine up to 300 or go with the 340? Haven't bought the arrows just yet. BTW, thanks.

I shoot something fairly similar...

Bear Agenda 6@27"
68#'s
Goldtip XT7595 (.340") at 27"
50grn Brass insert/ 125grn Head

TAP shows me a little stiff.

I'm in the same boat with either 250/260 or 300. I'm going to buy 3 a piece from Lancaster ( they sell in singles ). Then I'm going to see which flys better with my setup.

340 spine at 27" @ 70lbs? Thats plenty stiff. It will shoot and tune just fine.

Don't put too much stock into the software. It is a good program that calculates useful info. However, there is a big difference between a spine that is a little less than optimal and spine that is too weak. You are well within the correct range with a 340 ACC.

Thanks, thats what I was hoping. I currently shoot FMJ's @340 that tune fine but they dont have the brass insert and thought that may change it. Probably good to go though.

NEhunter- If you haven't purchased the arrows yet, I would hold off. Sounds like Easton is discontinuing the PRO Hunter series shafts. May want to go with standard ACC

I've shot a 28 1/4" Axis 300 for years from a 70# bow with the heavier inserts and 125 gr BH and though its slightly overspined it tunes great and shoot lights out.

Its not like you are shooting a trad bow and you need archers paradox....IMO, you are always better off over spined vs under spined for a hunting arrow with a modern compound with a shoot through riser. Plus the heavier wall thickness of the 300's make it a tougher hunt arrow.
