It may be a $13 vest but those specs are very close to what REI and E.B. have for $40 & $60. Guess I'm going to Costco

Just picked up the brown vest. I will put it to the test tomorrow in the IPW at 12k. Should be a decent insulator layer.
If you are considering the camo version it did have a subtle glare to it. The brown and grey are flat in color.

This seems like a good deal. If I didn't buy a down vest a couple weeks ago, I'd be all about getting one of these.

Is the shell water resistant? Is there a good amount of fill?

Shell doesn't feel water resistant to ME, but I'm no expert. Also, the fill seems a bit thin but I don't have any high end puffys (yet) to compare ot to. I still think I will really like wearing it this fall.

My wife got me a couple of these vests, but I'm not much of a vest guy. Figure if it's cold enough to throw something on, then it might as well have sleeves. They're pretty thin, wish they were more like the 800-fill goose down jackets that they used to sell. But for $13 what can you expect. Double fill it and we'd pay $26.
