I see their stuff on Camofire all the time but have never handled their product. I can't afford the latest & greatest on a lot of stuff so I'm always looking for good quality at an affordable price.
Is their stuff any good?

I can only speak for the core4 jacket. It is a light shell and best used with good insulation under if it is cold. It blocks the wind very well, is quiet for a bowhunter and sheds water (wet leaves/branches) nicely.

I also have the mid-weight shirt. It fits big, but does well at insulating and breathes nicely.

Hard to beat for the price point offered on Camofire IMO.

I picked up the torrent rainsuit set and love the finish to it. It stood up to the shower test, but I won't know the final verdict until after this fall. I like the fit/finish of their base layers as well.

I run the merino base layers as well as the rain suit. I am selling my rain suit though and going to try out the First Lite. I have nothing bad to say about C4E though. All good stuff that I have used!

Ive worn the switchback pants now for quite a while and they are great. Might mlnot be quite as breathable as thr kuiu attacks but they are more durable and equally as comfortable. The torrent jacket is awesome and can serve as a pillow as well. The element jacket was alright. I wasnt crazy about its ability to breath or insulate. But again, hard to go wrong with their pricing.

I have the mid mountain vest and a merino wool 1/4 zip top that I like a lot. I agree that you can't beat their pricing.

My only complaint would be about a pair of Switchback pants that I ordered, they were very noisy so I returned them. I haven't tried any other pants from them, not sure if they are all that noisy.

I wore the light weight Max I pants archery elk hunting this year in MT. Destroyed them below the knee in a couple of days of deadfall snags etc. Came home and ordered the Kuiu attack pants to try now. Had the rips and holes sewn up in these to be allocated to second string hog and antelope pants. I haven't tried their top end pants but so far not impressed. The tops and jackets are nice but don't see the hard duty of pants.
I also found the pant lrgs to be too baggy below the knee.

I have the merino base layers including the briefs, the switchback pants, the element pants, the midweight zip top, and the torrent rain jacket.

I found all of the pants and tops to be a perfect fit for me, and the merino didn't have any noticable itch for me. I am 5'-10", 190#, 35"-36" waste.

I have only had the jacket for a short time, and have only gotten out in the weather once. I am not quite dialed in on how to cinch up the jacket. I like it to zip up and stay in front of my chin. I found that I didn't have alot room to move without my chin wanting to come out of the "nest". My old jacket seems to give me a little better range of motion without causing problems, but it is like a sweat bag.

I would not hesitate to buy more of their gear.

Thanks guys.
There have been times I was ready to "Pull the trigger" but I have been hesitant. From now on I won't worry about the quality.

I have the torrent rain pants and jacket and really like them. I also have the switchback pants and they have been very good. I own the element pants, but haven't really worn them much because i like the lighter switchbacks more. You can't beat the c4e stuff for the price.

I like all my C4E gear. I have the entire lineup. Torrent pants and jacket, switchback and element pants, element jacket, merino layers. They've all performed great on my elk hunt and wore the heavier element pants on my chukar hunts this winter. Has all held up great.

I got it all off camofire.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. The merino is comfortable and you can get it for half the cost of some others that I own. The switchback pants are pretty comparable to ascent pants I have. I don't wear the pants or synthetic tops every single time I'm out, but for the price I'm glad I have all the core 4 pieces I do.

I can echo what most people have said before me. I have the element jacket and pants. Haven't worn either enough to give a solid review, but so far I like them and quality of construction looks good. I have worn the merino 190 beanie, merino 190 1/4 zip and bottoms, tek ball cap, talus belt and discontinued element vest quite a bit and all are good. I have also worn the discontinued 100% merino boxer briefs quite a bit and they developed random holes pretty quickly. Generally speaking most of the pieces are good bang for your buck.

The C4E gear that I've used has held up rather well. I've read about some other brands merino boxers not holding up, my C4E merino boxers have held up for a couple of years worth of use which includes commuting to/from work on my bike. Have their other merino and rain gear and it works pretty well. The rain gear has incurred some tears due to me getting caught in a blackberry patch, but it worked very well and is really quiet. Well worth the money.

Everything I have has held up great. My favorite piece of gear is the Torrent rain gear. I lived in this stuff this last year due to the rain Utah had. I have not tried other rain gear but this held up great in the brush, was very quiet, and I did not get wet at all. I have a couple of reviews on the C4E on my blog(www.gffadventures.blogspot.com) your welcome to check out if it helps.

I have all of the element line and also the merino base layers, all has help up flawlessly for three years. Nothing broken, ripped, or worn. I really like the merino. I've been wanting to try the torrent rainwear, bought a set in xl last summer since it was the only size close to large and it was too big, gave it to my brother and he loves it.

If you need customer service, don't expect any.

That is a false statement. I had a pair of Element pants that had the zipper pull off (only issue I have had). Called them up and sent them in. Next week got a brand new pair in the mail. They are in the process of switching ownership to Easton but I have had good luck with Easton CS in the past.
