I am looking for a trip for 19 for my boys. They will be 8 by then. They are not the typical whiny weak 8 yr old these boys could handle a back country elk hunt with ease.

I looked into a speed goat hunt in wyoming but they have to be 12 yrs. Here in MO you have to be 6 to hunt. The boys have already each taken 3 deer. Some with crossbow.

Any ideas on places or things to hunt somewhere? We have plenty of whitetail here.

Mule deer would be ok. Just looking to get them started on the planning and preparedness part of hunting out of state.

I would be extremely willing to trade hunts. We have super good spring Turkey and excellent deer numbers here on our farms in Missouri.

First off good for you, Took my daughter to Wy for an Goat hunt, it was very low impact for her. Lots of places to hunt, the goats were everywhere. We had a blast and it did not cost me an are and a leg. I had checked into bear hunting in Canada also. but there is an age requirement there also.

Thanks.

Since MO has started allowing 6yr olds to hunt.....we have had a phenomenal turn out of young kids in the woods and on the gun.

Participation is growing yearly. Not hundreds but thousands.

Other states need to catch on.....

Not a big game hunt, but I'd look at taking them to the dakotas for some pheasants. With a few dogs working, they could have an incredible time.

Washington doesn’t have an age limit. They could do a bear hunt there and have good chance of success. Tags are otc and you can shoot two bears on the west side.
