Convert quiver to fit small diameter arrows?

I cut down and glued in some plastic rods in between the rubber holders thus making the arrow "slots" more narrow. Been working good though a bit crude for the past two seasons

I need to do this with my girlfriends quiver since she switched to Axis shafts. I was thinking a thin layer of silcone. That way it still grabs the arrow.I don't know how it would hold up over time.

Take a long piece of adhesive-backed felt or similar that is the same width as the height of the grippers and use an arrow to push the felt in so it conforms to the grippers. Go from gripper to gripper to gripper and cut the rest off when you are done. I hope that makes sense.

Shoe Glue or Silicon worked when I needed to tighten up a gripper once. Sometimes you can shove tooth picks in between the two arrow grippers to tighten them up of they have small holes in the rubber casting. Another approach would be to drill holes between the arrows and use small 6-32 threaded screws and nuts to compress the rubber between the arrows to reduce the arrow holder size like some of the old quivers came with.

What about a rubber band around the gripper and then push the arrows in? Should provide enough grip on the arrows and you could keep a couple spares around the hood.

I used to use a Alpine Soft-Loc. When I swtiched to injexion shafts they would not stay put. I used a heat gun to form the slots tighter. Not sure what kind of quiver you are using though so this may not work for your app.

I had the same problem when I switched three years ago to Injexions. all I did was switch the gripper to a western archery replacement and put short sectiong of 2018 aluminium shafts in the other slots to increase the tension.

well, the alpine bear claw 5 slot came today... the description on this states that it will not hold the smaller diameter arrows...it is incorrect. my axis arrows fit nicely, got all worried for nothin'. thanks anyway guys.

I did the heat, compress and cool trick and it worked well. For heat I just set it on a black metal surface on a 90 plus day and when it felt hot to the touch I wrapped a tac med tourniquit around it, tightened it up and let it cool inside the house.
