Love the VX3i 2.5-8x36, but it seems they are to be no more. Any suggestions for a light weight dependable scope that is similar? I'm a "450 and in" shooter, so i don't need the big magnification or turrets.
The new VX-3HD is a worthy successor to the VX-3i. The 2.5-8x36 is very good , indeed. The CDS-ZL can be used in a set-and-forget manner, which is the way I use mine.
EuroOptic still has some of the 1.5-8 Razor’s on left for $429 and imo that is a steal and similar in size and weight as well. I am a big fan of the 2.5-8 Leupy and not a big Vortex guy but I like my Razors more then my VX3i Leupolds.
Vx3HD or find somebody who has a Vx3i on a shelf who wants to get rid of it. I’ve managed to get 2 of them here on rokslide by posting want to buy adds.
I kill a lot less than some folks here but info ok for myself. I don’t have the HD yet, I have 5 of the vx3i 2.5-8x36 scopes though. Next one I get will be the HD. I’d have no problem getting the HD version but I probably wouldn’t do much turret twisting with it, I’d probably use it as a set and forget scope although honestly it would be interesting to just try and make one fail. The only reason I don’t have the HD yet is because they still go for around 500 dollars it seems and I’ve been able to grab up the vx3i models for around 300-330 dollars, usually still brand new in the boxes.
