I’ve got a Ruger American .308 1 in 10 barrel. Barrel has been cut and re-crowned at 16.25”. It’s a hand mountain/backpacking rifle that shoots good for the money. I’d like to get a couple of different loads worked up that shoot the same zero at 100yds. Looking at a 150gr hornady BT and a 130gr Speer soft point brush bullet. I hunt white tails in the east and one of the areas I hunt I could take a 400yd shot or turn around, walk 50’ and make a 25yd shot through brush. I’d like to have the ability to keep a mag loaded with each load just in case. Maybe I’m not typing the right wording in the Google to find anything. Anybody got any input or load suggestions?
