7 PRC barrel slowing down?

Have you cleaned it? My barrel sped up around 100 shots FWIW

Yes, I cleaned it after 20-30 shots. It was the least amount of copper I have ever got out of a barrel. I didn't see any change in accuracy or velocity afterwards. I am at around 80 shots now. As for velocity slowing down, I think that was just a small sample size at max charge and I just wasn't getting any more velocity out of some powders by using more in my short barrel. It just took a while to figure that out since primers never got flat and velocity was lower than expected.

I have a buddy that was getting super slow velocitys in a Christian arms 7prc, it was accurate but slow. Put a camera in the chamber and his chamber was cut like shit. There was rifling deep into the free bore, making it pressure out early. He sent it in and they spun a fresh reamer in it, gained 100fps

Very interesting. That is the weird type of thing that I was hoping to hear about. Surprised that it shot accurately if that was the cause.

Yeah for sure, he almost didn't send it in just cause it shot so well. It still hammers after the fresh reamer
