The Vallecito area seems to be a mess… with Bayfield high school being used as a shelter. Pics of the hot springs in Pagosa are sobering. Can’t imagine being on the mountain during a storm like this one!

I hunted in S15 this fall. Stayed in Pagosa Springs a few days when you could have walked across the river and hardly got wet. Can't imagine what some of those trailhead access roads look like now. I know that it was dry, but this doesn't solve the issue when you wreck all the infrastructure and housing sitting on the river edges. Got to be some really nice (and new) housing that has water issues.

It’s going to make first rifle season a cluster in our area. I know guys were already going in and setting camps, or planning to go in. Access in our area is going to be a mess when this all settles.

It is still raining this morning and we have had almost 3" of rain in the last 36 hours. When I went to bed last night about 10PM it was scattered clouds and hadn't rained in in about 6 hours, Loud thunder and lightning woke me up at 11:30 and again at 3:00. Forecast this morning says 3 more days of rain. Lots of Montezuma & Dolores County advisories about flooded highways and county roads.
