Looking for cooler space to hang some meat for a couple weeks in the Colorado Springs area. Called a couple local butchers with no luck.

Anyone know of a place nearby?

Good luck. I tried to find a place in Denver to hang an elk for 5-7 days and struck out. If someone knows a place in Denver-ish, I’d love to hear about it!

Every place I’ve heard of in this area is booked through the end of the year already with some well into 2021. I live just south of Springs and all the butchers I’ve talked to around here are swamped with people having farm animals processed.

I was talking about this with someone yesterday. Butchers are packed due to Covid. Everyone buying their own beef, farmers to consumer direct. I’ll be curious to see how this impacts wild game butchers. Might be some unhappy hunters that can’t get their game processed this year.

Talks about ice aging in coolers.
I have been doing it for years.
Just keep the water drained off.
