Ok, it's starting to come back to me. SLOWLY!!!!! No sheep or goat. Boo hoo.

Gained a pt for sheep. I didn't really expect to draw yet but I was pretty hopeful somebody in my network of friends, brothers and cousins would draw but we all struck out. Better luck next year! Congrats to those who did draw!

Question, if I have my points show up for goat for 2014 and nothing at all show for sheep, does that mean anything? It shows my points for sheep and everything else for 2013, but nothing at all for sheep on 2014. I don't want to get my hopes up, was thinking my app may have gotten rejected. Don't see how because the goat went through just fine... I used an application service, they said their gut tells them that I drew. Fish and game said they show I still have points from last year, and that they didn't receive an application for sheep or goat, but my goat points went up. Anyone have any input?

If you drew it would say:

Sheep 0 0 2014

It updates the year whenever there is a change in your preference points. For instance, mine says 0 2008 for elk, that just means I haven't had a change in points since 2008 (because I keep drawing my first choice with zero points). I'm guessing it means there was a problem with your app, because it doesn't appear there was a change in points for you (either up or down) this year.

Ask your application service to provide you with proof they put in the application. I do all my apps myself, and the DPW website gives me a receipt that has a transaction number on it. The application service you used should be able to provide that transaction number.

I thought about using an application service, but there are a lot of horror stories out there of rejected applications, missed deadlines, etc. Every state that I put in for provides an online option for applications (CO, UT, NV, AZ, MT) which makes it easy to make sure you've got everything in correctly.
