Colorado Scouting Trip

[SHTF]

Looking for anyone in Colorado whos interested in a scouting Trip this month or next. Im adventurous but like to take in someone with me for about a 6 mile round trip hike in North Central Colorado. Unit 17. We have an eye on a spot there and want to check it out snap some photos ect. The guys Im hunting with are all out of State so its up to me to get there and check it out.

If anyone is up for this let me know. I plan to make the trip sometime this month or next during a weekend. It would be an overnight hike in 3 miles to a 11k peak do some glassing for a while then hike out the next day. only a 2k rise in elevation from where we start to where Im looking to go.

If interested hit me up. I havent nailed down any dates yet so Im flexible. Beautiful country and its Bear and Moose Territory so wed have to be on our toes =-) Im still training for Elk Season so this will be a easy going and non rushed pace. Im not in a hurry.

Hey Crumy - I talked to SHTF about going too. I know a little about the area (from hunting just the other side of the Continental Divide) and really enjoy it up there. Beautiful country.

If you do end up going I might beg for a room reservation in that MegaTarp again because my SuperTarp will probably not ship in time. I hate sleeping out in my bivy bag. Dang coffin. Haha.

You are more than welcome to a spot in the megatarp. My bugaboo bivy arrived today at work. Looking for an opportunity to use it since the Alpine Bivy didn't work out.

Yeah there is going to be a few of us roksliders running around 17 18 and 181 I have 3 guys coming from out of state I will taking to the Jackson County area.

I'd love to tag along if you know what weekend so long as I can make the drive up after work on a Friday. I'm currently in far NW NM and just looking to get out. I won't be hunting CO for 2-3 years still so no threat to a spot either

So we had me and Crazy going and Scott meeting us for the day. But CT cant make it. We are going this next weekend leaving Friday Scott is staying for the day. Im looking for someone who can stay out for 2 nights coming home Sunday. Will send Temb and 808 a PM see if this is to short notice anyone else that can make this trip we already have it planned out and Scott has already been up in the area. This from his description is one beautiful badass hike that is easy going and not to demanding. The area we are going too is only 2.7 miles in with about a 1k gain in elevation.
