I urge everyone residents and non-residents to petition to push the DOJ to prepare to challenge SB25-003. Colarado democrats have proven multiple times during this mess that they don’t even care to listen to their citizens opposed to this. Both the Senate and House Committee hearings have seen both an overwhelming ratio of those opposed to this bill to those for it. Yet they chose to ignore and do as they please. It’s been literal hours and hours of them having to sit through peoples testimonies against this unconstitutional bill. They have ran out of anyone actually testifying for the bill. But because they have the majority they choose to express they they don’t care about their citizens and do as they please. This isn’t democratic, this is authoritarian.

Politicians regardless of who is in charge just doing as they please regardless of the overwhelming opposition showing up and expressing this is not majority supported policies.

Let’s get the DOJ involved!

This is worth the share.. Shows what these legislators think as they treat , Sportsmen , Ag Producers, Sheriffs and Constituents like Uneducated, Out of State Lower Level burdens.

Correct. It was signed by the Governor with a big celebratory press conference and photo op. Some of the Colorado gun groups will file suit with likely support from the national groups. I know some of those groups have petitioned the Department of Justice for assistance also. TBD how all that falls out. Bill doesn’t go into effect until August 2026 so get those stripped AR15 receivers while you still can…..

So what is the final law going into effect? I went through a few sources and read there were “exceptions” but it wasn’t clear what.

Gosh darn can we secede from the Front Range already?

The "us" for "them" dogma is growing stronger. It will be interesting to see how Sheriffs on West slope communities react in the next year.

Should combine the Front Range and the Rio Grande corridor to make a long skinny state and get those clowns reaping the rewards of their own stupidity.

It’s sickening man… I’m stuck in the front range for the foreseeable future, surrounded by people not from my state… ruin my state…

Completely understand. The Rio Grande corridor has flipped a once fairly conservative state upside down.

Glad we don't see much of that impact in San Juan County, but that could change faster than we'd like...

Sadly Colorado is gone. I'm 68 years old, feel and can hunt like guys 20 to 30 years younger, but I don't have the time to wait for Colorado to hopefully take a right turn. It's not just this bill, it's freaking everything. The Dems couldn't figure out how to tax us any more than they are, so they put fees on everything to the tune of $23 Billion in 2023 alone. Don't have the 2024 numbers yet. So, we're out, moving to Idaho or Montana in 2026. Can't afford to stay, so sad. Been here all my life. Number 402 on my Hunter Safety card.
