Colorado question.

If you are going into it with the goal of spending some time in a beautiful place with some buddies you should be fine. If you are more interested in elk hunting, you need to be more mobile or look for another unit. You are going to be blown away by the number of camps along the road.

I have hunted 80/81 six times. Each year my gear gets lighter, I get more mobile and I train harder.

We can definitely move around if we need to. Myself and one other guy in the group put in for a mule deer tag as well. If we draw, we'll be limited to 80 and 81 because of the tags. If not we can hunt any OTC unit. One of the guys that's going has hunted both units several years ago so he has some knowledge of the area and that was a deciding factor in picking 81 as well. I have heard a lot of folks talk about the pressure though!!

If you break down and need a ride home it shouldn't be a problem finding a ride. There will be plenty of ur fellow statesmen in 81.
