If you apply for the preference point as your first option can you still still draw second choice tags?

Yes. The second draw is essentially the leftover tag list that now is another draw to apply for after the results are released.

Yes, you are still eligible for 2nd, 3rd, 4th choices on that application.

Saved yourself some $$ - this year you have to buy a qualifying small game liscense to get a point.

True, but they did away with the point fee down the road this year! At least that's what the application book said. Saved us $40 a species for elk, deer, and antelope. If I recall correctly, there are still point fees for moose, sheep, and goats.

I've got 6 points for Elk and 6 for deer so far for a future hunt. Not sure how many are needed to get in good areas.
