I'd take Grand Junction over the front range! Neat area....if you have a decent job opportunity I'd go there if you want to live in the west. Warmer and drier than the front range, and probably not as windy. Housing prices were much lower in the past versus the front range.

Currently living on the Front Range for the next 7 months. Will be returning to MI next year. We have enjoyed the mountains being so close but everything else about this place kinda sucks. Housing is a joke. There are a lot better choices if moving out west but there is also a lot to be said for living back home and just getting out here once a year to scratch the mountain itch.
