Colorado Moose, Best way to find success?

My dad has a tag coming up next weekend and I would like to figure out how to find out how the other hunters have been doing during the muzzleloader and archery hunts. I know you have to report every kill and fairly quick so I figured that one could get a hold of someone to let you know how many people have been hunting and how many have been able to get one on the ground.

They don't have this year's report out yet but there are historical reports that literally list the location and size of the prior years. Can't get much better info to start off your scouting efforts than that... Colorado Parks & Wildlife -

Where is his tag? Hopefully its in a good area with lots of bulls..Some guys do post seeing a lot of moose in cerntain areas while elk hunting you might get information by going through some of the forums, i know i have seen a few.. good luck

Well it's a cow tag in unit 6, I know there is a lot of moose there I just want to figure out how much success there has been already and get an idea of how much pressure we will be dealing with in the area, cause I know there is quite a few tags in this unit.

Yeah for those once in a lifetime tags people are more likely to let you know where to find them! That's what I'm hoping from here haha someone can give me some good ideas, I'm gonna go scout this weekend so I'll see about finding a few.

Yep. You have to report the kill and location and it gets published. Success is good on the hunts when you draw a tag in in 10-20yrs.
