Well it is almost that time of year again. When the Colorado General Assembly convenes and the controlling majority tries to launch as many anti-gun bills as possible. Word on the street is that they are lining up a NFA items ban that would include suppressors. Considering many of these legislators are bought and paid for by billionaire Bloomberg and Everytown, this shouldn’t come as a shock. They have to keep bringing up new legislation to keep the campaign donations flowing.

Considering how much suppressors have been widely adopted in the hunting community, hopefully we can push back with a large unified voice.

They are keeping a tight lid on this one so there likely wont be much heads-up. They want to minimize any law-abiding firearms owners participating in the democratic processes. Keep an eye out and be ready call/email legislators.

I mean. I'd think they'd be more focused on trying to redeem themselves for not being able to even reintroduced wolves in the state. Now they think gun control will work? Good thing there's no such thing as 3d titanium machines. If you know, you know.

If this goes through are previous suppressors grandfathered?

Will this affect non residents who come to hunt?

Does this apply to LE/MIL folks?

Based on past laws they would likely grandfather existing items, that way they don't have to deal with the "Takings Clause" issue with the 5th Amendment. I'm guessing that the ban would just be for people trying to buy these items in the state. They always exempt military and LE, none of these laws would ever pass if they didn't.

The other rumored bills are going to be an add on to the semi automatic licensing bill from this past year that would limit the types of features a firearm may have and an "armory" bill that would some how limit the number of firearms you could buy or own.

That’s pretty sad. My parents are in Castlerock and we originally had plans of moving back soon but at this point you couldn’t pay me to move back.

Just to be clear those exemptions for military and LE are for official use, not personal use.

All signs show significant decline. Also appears the Colorado economy is in a nose dive.
