There are elk in dang near every unit west of 25 and dang near every unit east of 25 (just harder to access due to private). I'd recommend scouting prospective units, any advice/information you find on the internet should be viewed with some suspicion. If it's posted up everywhere how amazing the unit is you should expect it to be blown out with hunters and the point requirements will sky rocket.... thank the gopro hunters era.
