Colorado GMU 19 1st Rifle Season Tips Needed

Hello All,
1st time heading to GMU 19 1st Season Rifle. Typically we hunt unit 11 3rd rifle, but the weather and the harsh kill off a couple years ago has made it tough hunting.
So this year we decided to head over to unit 19 for some new territory and adventurers.

Any input and tips on 1st rifle season in that unit?
ex. Weather, terrain, etc..

There will definitely be weather. Likely more mild in 1st season.

I’m headed out on my first, first rifle hunt this October as well. I’ll be in 78. I’m curious how effective calling is in this season…
