Turns out this 19,200 acre property is going to issue just 7 Elk/Deer tags total. They are accepting comments online regarding ideas/concerns etc. I let them know that this paltry tag issuance should be increased. If you compare these tag allotments on a tags per acre basis, Fishers State Park is issuing just 35% of the tags per acre as the oh-so-hunter-friendly Boulder County Rabbit Mtn Open Space. I suggested they consider allowing additional late season tags when non hunter users are lower, or more primitive only (muzz and archery) tags to address any perceived safety concerns.

If you've seen the property, the 7 tags makes good sense for the first year. It's not a very huntable piece of land.
