Colorado Elk Preference point help

Some of you guys are wild. He has 26pp and is asking about a unit you likely will never draw. Anyone starting today will never catch it. People with 15pp won't catch it. Even if he moves to Colorado he is at the bottom end of the required points so chances are he won't draw it with 26pp. Definitely not drawing as a NR with 26pp. NR 201 MZ took 32pp in 2024.

@TAH You can move here to Colorado if you want. It opens a bunch of options at your point level. 201 isn't an automatic option though.

Well Tah if you intent is to move you are already several months behind. You need to live in Co for 6months to establish residency, so you wouldn’t be here in time to be considered a resident for this draw cycle, you would be looking at 2026. Also seems like a lot of work to move from ID to Co for a tag. Co is very expensive renting or buying a place here is really expensive, if you have that kind of money might as well just buy private land tags where you want. Unless you are just trying to “move on paper” if that is the case be careful. Several threads on this site from guys getting absolutely destroyed for doing something like that… loss of hunting privileges, massive fines, ect…
