When I look at the elk harvest estimates for each unit what exactly does the Total Recreation Days actually mean?

When I look at the elk harvest estimates for each unit what exactly does the Total Recreation Days actually mean?

The total number of days hunted as a combined total by whom ever hunted the unit. For example. There are 10 hunters that hunt 10 days each. That is 100 recreation days.
