Colorado Bear Unit 43

Hey Guys,

heading up to unit 43 for a black bear hunt with my two buddies around labor day, one of my friends is from there and it sounds like it is a pretty good area for bears. Any other tips or information on the unit itself or bears in that area? appreciate it!

Did you have any luck or see any? I’m going to be hiking in on September 20th and picked up a bear tag as well.

hey man! no luck at all. but it was labor day weekend and weather was all over the place. very hot and then a foot of snow. now that it has cooled off might be better?

We’ll see, I’m packing in Sunday for a week. Unless I decide to go with unit 53..I keep going back and forth lol.
