They are concerned about a wolf yet never give any thought to all the livestock, deer, elk and every other game animal that disappear in droves because of these animals they introduced.

Not sure how many encounters you guys have had with wolves? I think there are substantially more in Minnesota than reported. 2 years ago was in archery stand and as it was getting dark approx 5 of them in a "crescent " shape would take turns with a deep howl . They were probably 100 yards away. Every Frick in hair on the back of my neck stood up. Got out there holding a stick bow . Freaky.

A month later near same area in a blizzard muzzle loader hunting for deer . Heard rustling in frozen leaves and thought it was deer coming through. There was 7 of them in a line ran right under my stand. I think it was the same pack from archery . It was the last day of season. Finished hunt and went to shoot gun and it didn't go off.

Not to blather too much. Also watched a pretty cool deal where there was 3 of them along an old popple slash and a single one came through at an angle. Basically it looked like they were putting a deer drive on

Can't count how many I've seen cross roads and a black wolf eating a roadkill deer on edge of road. Thing looked up and looked like the the devil himself. I think they need managed as a predator. I know our moose calve mortality is heavily associated with wolves .

I wonder if the podcast did any digging into Don Giddleston, I believe he's dealing with karma for the kind of person he is. Giddleston doesn't own or inherit the Ranch where the wolves are killing cattle, it is a state owned ranch that he leases. The state required him to run cattle year round on the ranch.

I don't feel sorry for Don Giddleston one bit, he's hasn't been a good nieghbor to the people in the Walden area and ask him about running off hunters that are glassing elk from the county roads anywhere near the leased ranch. Or the rumors his family try starting about others up there. Karma comes sooner or later.

Reading this story reminds me of all the articles about Grizzly bear 399 and her cubs. The only thing I can think of when I see this stuff is "Who cares?" Those bears and this wolf are the exact same animals as the thousands of other ones that look just like it.

It's almost as if people have been fooled by journalists to think these individuals are special.

And now some of those "dam" Europeans want to re-introduce them years later. I wish they would make up their minds. Kinda of a love/ hate relationship with canines in general. Not a big fan of naming government dogs like " muffy" . "Snowball " does sound kinda cute , but would prefer basic "wolf #666" and stick with that. If I open the door and whistle and it doesn't come running it's not a pet. Personally I would like to see wolves, mountain lions, black , grizzly bears and adult sasquatch hunted/trapped and managed as predators. Don't kill every last one ,but manage them. I'm sure if feeding my family was adversely affected by them I would have a different opinion.

My family doesn't really talk about why they moved north. Life was hard enough being second class citizens in Texas, but was apparently still better than in Mexico.
