Reintroduced gray wolf found dead in Larimer County, Colorado

Just saw there's a post in the conservation section about it, feel free to ignore. I wish we'd decide where wolf posts are supposed to live.

Read another article that stated that speculation from the USFS is that it was killed by a mountain lion.

I was in a bar in Reserve NM talking to a local. He said they shoot wolves in the guts, and they run off deep in the woods to never be found again........ to die a slow death out of sight....

Strange. Would a cat attack a healthy wolf or are they thinking it was sick, injured?
There was one killed by a lion in my state a few years ago, I don’t think it’s really rare

If there is a wolf and a cat, my money is on the lion every single time, I don’t think cats would mess with a pack, but a lone wolf is probably pretty vulnerable with a lion

Lions hate coyotes and love killing them, and assume would like to take out the wolves too if they could
