Last time in I had an upper endoscopy along with a colonoscopy. Thankfully they used separate tubes for each job.

Wet wipes are your friend the day before. Specifically if you can find the “soothing” ones. As for the procedure itself, I tell all my patients, if you can get through the prep and the iv, you’ve made it through the hard parts.

I did one colonoskopy followed by the box program but I don't have any family history of colon cancer.

The wife has had two. One was a false positive with a colon ulcer. The next was worse as the doctor ruptured the colon which triggered an extensive repair job. She did the box the last time. Enough was enough.

Watch your father in law die a slow lingering death over 9 months because "they're not shoving that up my ass" will change your perspective.
Also, the procedure now is nothing like the "hot poker" it was 30 years ago. Other than pissing out your ass, you'll feel nothing of the actual procedure.

I came to say the same thing. Except they didn't swap the scopes cause I could taste chit the whole rest of the day.

So, nobody has asked the question, so I will: did you get a "two-for-one" deal? Or any sort of special "buy one, the second one if half-off"? If no deals were offered, did you try to negotiate, or did you not want to come off as an a$$hole?

Re. prep.....Wife got the gallon jug of Colyte...she's literally sprinting through the house, lol!
Two bathrooms = bonus.
I went with the more expensive Suprep which requires far less solution. Taking a fraction of what she is, but seems to be working just as well. lol..

Didnt use the drink that cleans you out, they used 2 Enemas.
Administered by a large black lady.
I woke up mid way through the procedure.
NOT a fun time.

Good for you for doing it. No fun but it can save your life. Good friend died of colon cancer, horrible way to go. Another friend finally got the test and found cancer, barely made it but is fine now. If you don't do it for you, do it for your family.

Someone else start the vasectomy thread, I can’t bring myself to do it.

The first “release” after my vasectomy was reason enough to do it lol, it’s like you get to be a virgin twice in a lifetime…. The first time and then the time after your vasectomy lol

It’s really not horrible the worst part is when the nurses are taping your manhood up to your stomach while talking about what they’re having for lunch….. like ladies at least act a little impressed!

Ha! Just goes to show if you can sked something out far enough they can do anything.
The other part of this gig was getting a ride from the boonies to the GI joint. Found a neighbor willing to do the deal. They won't let ya leave without a driver. We wanted to get this over with together.
