I dont hunt whitetail much however, I am fortunate enough to hunt a buddy's farm every year in Georgia for a few days. my feet always freeze! How many mm/gram are the boots you run when its under 30 degrees for stand hunting?

looking for 16-18" inch slip on rubber boots

Usually the super insulated boots don't help much because your feet either sweat too much going in or there's no room inside for an air gap.

I go with non insulated and then swap out to down or fur booties when on stand

Thanks my longest walk is usally 100-200 yards or so i dont think my feet will sweat.

That's the first of heard of that. What brand did you go with?

Inserts say action heat. Come with a remote and they have 3 settings. My brother in law used them last year and loved them so I’m trying them out this year. Hasn’t been real cold yet but they worked well on some chilly mornings. I get cold so easy and my toes are always cold! Last year I used the artic shield boot covers with hand warmers like mentioned previously and that works great but got tired of dealing with them in a tree stand. I don’t think I would want the inserts if I had miles to walk as they are firm.IMG_6014.jpegIMG_6016.jpeg

I use the heated socks from action heat up in norther maine every year with a pair of leather gore tex boots and have no issues with cold feet. However I use the bigger batteries than the ones that come with the socks.
