Cold Bay Resident Brown Bear

I’m thinking about doing a brown bear hunt out of Cold Bay in the fall of 2025. Does anyone have any experience hunting here that might give me some insight? I’m a resident so a guide isn’t needed. I’ve been researching and there’s an outfitter that offers a DIY brown bear package but if possible I’d rather rent a vehicle and hunt myself but I’m not sure how feasible this is.
