Coffee ?

I'm not much of a coffee drinker. I normally get my caffiene fix from a morning coke. However, in the backcountry I go with tea. Tea bags are lightweight and good to drink warm or cold.

Id never packed in any, hell i dont drink coffee much... But last trip into the high country got super cold and i just happend to have packed in a full MRE that had instant coffee and OMG was it good!!! Im gonna gut some of my MRE's for the hunt this year.... Take the stuff i want leave the rest and pack my regular meals too. Im always hungry so extra food is a bonus!

As others have said, Starbucks via or Nescafé hazelnut flavored. The Nescafé are a lot less expensive, but also have a lot less caffeine. We buy the vias on amazon, if you look you can often find promotional packs of 50 for $25 or less because they have short expiration dates (I.e. Upcoming within 3 months or so). Have never had an issue with them going bad even if they are expired by dates...

Good call on the Amazon buy Becca. Should have thought of that myself. I switched from Via to Foldgers instant for price alone. Seven packets for $1.39 compared to $9.99 for 6 of the Vias. I'd love to kick the habit and not have to bring them in but that ain't happening. We all need at least one vice. If mine is coffee, I think I'll be alright.

There's nothing like a hot cup of coffee in the high country while glassing. Keeps me from nodding off.
