Thinking about burning my points next year for a casual hunt, I've never been to the Pawnee Grasslands and won't be able to scout before except maybe a day or two before the season opens. Has anyone used the Crow Valley Campground by Briggsdale? Some of the spots you can reserve through recreation.gov and some are first come first serve, we'll potentially have 2 large wall tents and 6 people.
I read through some of the older posts about 87 being crowded which is understandable given the roads through it, I've archery hunted pronghorn before in Oklahoma and it sounds like it could be a similar situation, plenty of roads and a lot of people on them. No one in our group has taken a pronghorn before so we would be happy with any decent sized buck.
If anyone has information they'd be willing to share about the campground, road conditions or terrain shoot me a PM to keep it private if you'd like or post here.
