CO unit 86

Been hunting this unit for years but this archery season seems really dead. Not many elk taken out of there from what I observed as well as what the DWL officer was saying. Anyone have any luck out there there? Ran into more four wheeling hunters then elk. After passing 8 parked ATVs in a mile and half stretch I packed it in.

Nah. I humped up and down those mountains. Not much sign. Tons on the ranches though. If you wanna drop 7k.

Did you get up to timberline?

There won't be any ATV's inside the wilderness boundary. It's really dry in there this year.

Similar results across the ridgeline in 82- though no atvs. Man that is RUGGED country.
