CO Unit 76 Early Archery

I drew the early archery tag for this unit. I've spoken to a couple guys on Rokslide about their experience elk hunting the unit, the unit deer bio and the adjacent unit's deer bio, but nobody that's actually hunted deer in 76. Headed out from Michigan later this week for a week of scouting, trails, trailheads, access and just getting eyes on the unit in general. Anyone thats been in there care to share your experience? I recreate quite a but in the Western portion of that unit but have never hunted it. Lot of snow still in the high country but this should be a big melt off week (it’s hot) and the FS has some of the high country roads open. There was a fatality last week close to Stoney Pass as a vehicle was crossing Pole Creek, stalled out and one of the passengers was swept away by the river. Don’t underestimate the snowfields or the amount of runoff they are producing.
