You could try and it might let you but your gonna get kicked all the way back to the residency page as soon as you try and buy.

THOUGHT I was good to go on a cow tag, added to cart and to credit card page before getting the no qouta left notice. Bummer.

Picked up a different leftover cow tag (not that hard to get).

I was after one of the three deer tags in unit 85. I hunt elk there on private and have mule deer around every day. Nope. They gone. I was logged in at 9:00. Got the slow wheel of death until 9:04. No quota... dagummit!

I have a tag. 8th choice, but I have one. So I'll be chasing mule deer bucks in 25/26 alongside an ocean of orange during 2nd rifle. I know the area somewhat, so that's a start. But it's close enough to I-70 that I also know there will be orange on every ridge. Guess this is where my fitness level comes in.

Ultimately successful though, just slow and steady.

I entered my choices, waited a while, and then got booted out to the "in line" screen. It never said the tags were unavailable the first time through. Oh well...

I am a resident but I was at work on my computer, I was patient put in a couple of harder to get tags up 1st and 2nd choice and then two that were a little less sought after for 3rd and 4th. I got my 4th choice. You cant go into it expecting your gonna score a great tag that has 1 available in the quota....

This non-resident got one, granted there was over 100 leftover for that first season rifle tag, but since they are sold out now I’m not complaining. No issues outside of wasting time not realizing it’s best to try one code at a time. Should have snagged a unit 77 tag if not for wasting 5 minutes before I figured that out, I’ll settle for unit 41 and be happy for my first trip out there.

I messed up putting in multple codes as well. At checkout all three of my choices were showing as available and it showed me as paying for first choice. Just got my emailed receipt and now I'm apparently getting second choice. Should have gone for one at a time. Oh well, still have a deer tag.

We didn't ever get through. 3 of us trying to get tags out of 17 left over. Maybe should have done it online individually but didn't want one or 2 of us to get one. Would have really screwed everything up since we are traveling with one vehicle.
