CO Gun Barrel Transfer Ban SB 26-043

Requires barrels to be sold or transferred in person by FFL.

Requires FFLs to record a sale or transfer for at least 5 years. Including name, address, date of birth, and the firearm the barrel is designed for.

The general assembly finds, determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety or for appropriations for the support and maintenance of the departments of the state and state institutions. - LOL

Well, they're not completely wrong. Such an act would certainly help perpetuate a bureaucracy.

As of January 1, this is the law in CA. Fight that crap with all of your might! I'm not super familiar with the wording of the law in CA, but I know that many gun part vendors are not shipping to CA currently. I attempted to order a recoil pad from Midway a couple of weeks ago and was instructed to provide an FFL 01 to complete the purchase... This is for a recoil pad!!!
