I will start off saying I don't want to steal anyone's honey hole or make where they go more crowded. My Dad and I are looking for a new area to hunt deer during a rifle season. Not looking for big bucks just a good number. He is 62 and hiking long days over rough terrain is limiting. We have been outside of Meeker the last few year but walking through the sage and oak brush is getting really hard for him at that specific spot. We have a slide in truck camper (no more tent camping for him, he likes the comfort), we don't like or have ATV's or have horses. So we are looking for a place we can drive and camp at the access point and is foot access only so we aren't competing with other modes of transportation too badly. I have been looking into units that we can draw every year and looking at areas that might hold deer, but knowing what the ground is actually like... can't beat boots on the ground. I figured I would reach out and hopefully get pointed in the right direction to keep getting my dad out before he says it is getting too hard. Thanks in advance!
