I'm going out east to 116/117 for a 3 day pheasant hunt in December. There are a few leftover antelope tags here and I'm able to shoot on private land if one is there. Does anyone have experience with antelope out in this area or would it be a waste of a tag to buy?

Tough thing about late season is the antelope bunch up into big herds. Instead of 4 or 5 antelope looking out for hunters, there is 50-100 watching. Harder to sneak up and get close.

Tags aren't that expensive. I would get one and give it a shot! Worst thing that will happen is you spend your whole time pheasant hunting

They don't live out there...just own land. They live in the front range now. I'll ponder it for a few days and see.
