I’m going up with a cow tag, 20’ camper and a Texas wheelchair. Should be a blast, and will be infinitely more comfortable than last years late season cow hunt. The seek tipi did the job last year, but this will be nice.

I did have an indoor toilet last year, so that was nice.3B6E72D2-D2B4-4E82-8990-5161C72C45E1.jpegI’ll head up Friday AM and try to get the same spot for the camper.

I considered getting this old cow camp. First come, first served. Probably should have. Nice wood stove in there, but oddly no outhouse.

Hunting area will be a short quick haul in the SxS.

Good luck! You know who to call if you need anything.
Thanks man! It will be a great time for sure, I need to decide if the camper is something I want to keep. Haven’t used it in a while. Not filling the water tanks for obvious reasons, but it’ll sure be nice having all the other amenities. I’ll have cell service at my chosen camp spot so there will be updates posted.

Bring yer mud boots!
I don’t mind the snow. Or the cold. But I hate mud dammit. Doesn’t matter, I’ll be free and chasing elk. My chosen rifle was piling up rounds tighter than ever a couple days ago. Wrecked the steel at 320.

Found an old outfitter camp. No idea how they got these things up here, the road must have been better back then.

found the elk too, and learned a lot about hunting this area. Trying to go up and down these canyon sides is looking for trouble. Very steep, loose footing. I’m solo too. Bad place to get hurt.

So I’ve been going up the bottoms. Recent flooding actually made a decent trail in the dry bottom. Should have brought my 45/70, if I get a shot here it will be close and fast.

Found several places like this where they cross the bottoms.

Rain day today so far. Needed a break anyway.

I’m trying to make coffee in the perc instead of the aeropress. Pretty weak, back on to perc some more.

Been a hoot thus far. Steak forge has done well.
