Closed Door Hunts around the World.

I'm always blown away at the amount of money some of you guys have to hunt. I think it's awesome.

Thats what my wife says! LOL
I was lucky in the beginning of my sheep/goat hunting carrier & drew a couple bighorn tags (98,99) and was hooked! Saved my money from selling hay & guiding & paid for a dall in 01 ($10,500) & stone in 2005 ($15,000). Did my first ibex hunt in 2007, mid asian in Kyrg and realized how much the rest of the world had to offer mountain hunters. Drew a Nevada desert tag in 2012 and hunted DIY. I've always been goal driven & like the quest to complete goals like the Grand, Ovis, Capra, NA 29 (currently 23). The 29 is tough! I've had some big swing & misses that hurt.
Our family businesses have been good. An outfitting business with my hunting buddy has helped as I get to travel with clients/friends also. Sometimes I hunt after they are done but mostly I just get to help make sure they are successful. Either way I get to experience some amazing countries. I feel very blessed my wife supports my passion, most of the time.:-) There is no guarantee of tomorrow, go hunting today!

If I structured my life differently and made it a priority, I could have done a couple of those hunts in my life. I admire people like you that have done it.

As mentioned, it's definitely USDFW causing the vast majority of the issues. The run around I got getting a free range red stag and blackbuck antelope home from Argentina was ridiculous. Especially when I can bring a stag home on the plane from NZ. Couldn't get a kangaroo home from Australia. I'm about to book an ibex hunt in Kazakhstan, as it's my final continent to hunt, and praying I don't have issues getting one home.
