Closed Cell vs Air Pads

Pretty much a matter of preference and individual need. As long as I can keep going I plan to air on the side of comfort...

My first pad was a closed cell thermarest z-lite sol and I didn't mind it at all. I'm a back-sleeper, and didn't find it to be uncomfortable.
I just picked up a Thermarest pro-lite at the REI garage sale for 39 bucks, so we'll see how this one works out, but I'm definitely keeping my closed cell
