Do you believe either group does whatever they do based on rigorous research and experimentation, or because they what they’ve been told?

I don't make assumptions in either direction nor do I believe it This or That (only two options, perhaps is a combination of many things??).

Someone does the telling though and maybe that is based on a myth, rigorous research, or general observation.

I do enjoy how easily some confuse observations with assignment of causal relationships.
