So of course this would happen. Set up my SO lil bug out for the first time under a nice big shade tree to seal the seams. Well little did I know this shade tree was shedding sap.so a few hours later my shelter is tacky with sap on one entire side. Gah! Frustrated to say the least. Any first hand tips on how to clean this thing?

Yep, isopropyl alcohol dissolves tree sap in short order. I always carry a small bottle to get sap out from between my dogs toes. She has a knack for finding the biggest gob she can, stepping in it and basically gluing her toes together.

Thanks guys!

Upon further inspection, it was these little gnats that dropped from the leaves, must have been sucking the sap or something from the trees leaves, anyhow they stuck all over the shelter and were sticky as heck. Anyhow, ended up just using warm water and a wash cloth, an easy wipe down cleaned it all off. It was really weird.
