We are heading to Alberta to hunt moose. We are hunting with Corey Kristoffs Classic Mountain Hunts. We booked the hunt thru Shoshone Adventures.

Has anyone ever hunted with Corey? If so what can we expect? Thanks!

I have personally used a different broker 3 times, and never again. Just me , but I have had horrible experiences and Shoshone was the worst ever. Arrogant prick.
Im surprised to see people actually still use him.

I leave for canada north the 2nd week of September for musk ox/ caribout Ill write a review when i get back. So far they have been first rate to deal with and great with communication.

I was up in baker lake this fall and shot a musk ox and a caribou with TPA outfitters. I was very happy with them. After talking to clients from Canada North at the restaurant I’d be cautious booking with them. TPA was set up with a base camp 75 miles from town by boat. This got you away from the locals and other outfitters. He was also set up with ATV’s stationed around the lake so you could venture out by boat to the different atvs and head out in many different directions. From what I gathered the Canada north guys either left town by atv and hunted near town or boated around the lake and glassed from the boat. So they banked on animals be near the shore. The hunters I spoke to didn’t see any caribou during their trip, the group prior I met on the dock and had shot 2 smaller bulls, but did fill musk ox tags near town. TPA was 100% again this year on both caribou and musk ox.

Oh I was there the end of September with canada north and had a fantastic hunt. Got a nice caribou and most likely a book musk ox. Only got to hunt 2 days though because of weather. I think they have several different outfitters that work for them. We left the town to a remote camp for caribou and saw several hundred. Musk ox we went by quad about 15 miles from town.
