I think you're right. Pretty much seems all stuff made 20+ years ago lasted longer doesn't it?
Not Bass Pro stuff, but I had a few old t-shirts that finally gave up the ghost in the last few years, but that was after 10-12 years of wearing them. Since then it seems like every t-shirt I've bought in the last 5-6 years hardly lasts more than 2-3 years. My wife notices the same things about some of the clothing she buys. Fabric seems thinner or something and you really have to inspect what you're getting.

Products in general are getting more expensive and made cheaper. It’s sad. Look at power tools. I have a impact drill from 8 years ago still. Yes it’s slow and heavy but still works great. I buy the “new and improved” tools and they last me 2-3 years before they catch fire… literally.

Yeah its basically all bargain bin things now. Supply is hit or miss. I feel like scheels and sportsman are doing a better job as far as big box stores go.

Agree on scheels. And now that they run their credit card like cabelas and let you amass digital credit instead of 25$ gift cards it’s my go to place for most my needs.

While the lawsuit is quite silly, the false advertising is bullshit but that's nothing new either.
And like darn tough socks, THATS WHAT IS GETTING THEM ALL THE ATTENTION AND THEY PROFIT FROM SAID ATTENTION! ( see what I did there?) So they can, and have, spotted me a couple pairs for 30+ dollars initial purchase.

I stopped at the "Cabela's" bass pro in Sidney a few months back. What a disgrace, the Walmart of outdoors, complete joke compared to when it was a real Cabela's.

Just like Darn Tough socks, if I wear a pair out I'm not going to ask them to replace them unless its a abnormally short time period. Most of those socks I have years on - they're going to wear out and I'll pay to replace them.
1st thing I thought of. Have maybe 4 years wearing only the same 5 or 6 pairs of socks. They are all smoked. Will not be turning them in for warranty, I got my money out of them

If they are gonna say Lifetime Guaranty, then it should be lifetime guaranty. What's so difficult about that?

Bass Pro did ruin Cabelas. It is a shame.
