I am 2 9% beers in so here is the question 😁

Girlfriend as most females love to spend money. Especially Christmas time.

I have bought her what she has asked for. Yet I want nothing!
At my age, I buy what I want. All I asked her for, at Christmas was to sleep in and have a peaceful day. I have racked my brain thinking of things to put on my "list" she wants and cannot think of one thing. She pretty much hates guns/firearms ( long story) so that's not on the list. There are a few things I'd like to buy but, they are not needed items.
I was at my place the other day and I have clothes either with tags or still in the package, so I don't need clothes. I don't need gadgets. and I defiantly don't need any more backs or packs.

Do I just give a list of things I'd like to buy myself?
When it comes down to it, gifts are for the kids really. I took care of my daughter, two nieces and her granddaughter.
I am not the greatest Christian. I really want her to go to church with me for Christmas.

For me, myself.... any day can be Christmas. If I want something.... I buy it. I have everything that I want/need. I am a very active Christian/church goer, and my children aren't. When they ask what I want for Christmas I tell them that I want to sit in church surrounded by my children and grandchildren.

Best gift ever!

I agree, gifts are for the kids. My wife and I rarely exchange gifts, unless I surprise her with something. Same situation, if we want it, we just buy it.

How about an experience? Have her set up a trip somewhere you've been wanting to go. My wife doesn't know it yet, but we bought me an ibex hunt in Kazakhstan...

Elk - she is doing a medical travel thing last few years and spent about a year in the Montpelier/Berlin/North field area. About 15 minutes outside Mont, lived a mile from the Berlin volunteer fire dept. station 2 and Northfield was at the end of her road. Darn Tough Sock was right around her place. Back yard was the Dog River.
Shes not much of a believer so to say. And thats OK. I don't get to church as I should. I'd just like us to go once.
ZD- she has got her/me a cruise last couple of years. And I loved it each time. Maybe I should ask for a cruise as she won't hunt.

Tell her, the only thing you want for Christmas is to spend the morning at church with her, itt Christmas Eve, which ever you'd prefer. Find out the service times ahead of time and tell her the exact time and all.
Merry Christmas, I hope and pray you make it to church with her.

I'm the same way...typically when I decide I really want something I buy it. I tend to be kind of minimalist and make myself run through a thought process of need versus want and possible utility and use cases before I buy something, so there's plenty of stuff that in a perfect world with unlimited money and garage storage space I might pick up but choose to pass over when shopping for myself.

Over the past several years I've made an Amazon wishlist of items I come across and think "that's kind of cool" but don't want or need it bad enough to buy it for myself. Maybe things I already have that I think an extra or backup would be handy or smart. Quality of life or convenience items that I wouldn't prioritize enough to spend money on but would probably appreciate in use.

My list has tools, knives, kitchen utensils, electronics, camping gear, clothing, stuff for the dogs, books...anything and everything.

At holidays and birthdays I just share the list with anyone asking what I want and tell them they can literally pick anything off the list and I'd be happy to have it. Easy peasy.
