Have to the opportunity to get a Christensen Mesa 28 nosler at a pretty good price. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the Mesa as far as accuracy/consistency.

Not sure what you call a good price, but even at reg price I’d say go for it.
Or pass along the savings. Lol

I have recently shot 3 mesas. two in 7 rem mag and one in 708. The 708 is decently accurate at just a hair under an inch. The two rem mags shoot absolutely awesome. fairly consistent .5" at 100 and .75 at 200 yards. The triggers are next level good. I recommend you buy one! As a side note, I just bought a browning 28 nosler. Its a .5" gun and I am rolling a 168 nosler ablr at 3333 fps!

Love mine in 300 win. Very accurate rifle and feels great. Comes with a tt trigger which is a plus.

I cannot speak personally on the mesa except for holding in the store. They are great looking and well balanced rifles. I decided to take Silvereagle50's advice and pulled the trigger on a Ridgeline off Eurooptic. pretty similar guns minus the barrel and bolt handle. I have only put 40 rounds down the pipe but mine shoots really good with factory Hornady ammo.

I hope you don’t have any regrets since I’m on the hook now.

I nearly pulled the trigger myself on one of those, but in the end decided to wait for the new Ti version.

No sir. It’s great so far. I plan on taking it to 800 this weekend.

will never get rid of my mesa in 6.5. .5 moa all day long with factory loads. Farthest shot was 650 with it on steel. Hard to beat for buying and slapping a scope on.

I purchased a CA Mesa in 6.5 CM, in December. After 50 rounds of break-in, and 50 more rounds to get up to 100, I’ve started load development for a hunting load. I’m loading Hornady brass, Federal 210 M primers, and Nosler 140 gn Ballistic Tip bullets. I’ve narrowed down to H4350 and StaBall 6.5 powders.

I’ve got two H4350 loads under .400 MOA at .020 off the lands. This weekend, I’ve loaded different seating depths and I’ll check those. I’ve also got a great ladder test at 300 yards with the StaBall 6.5, with 5 loads almost on top of each other. I’ve loaded some of that for further testing.

i think the Mesa is a very accurate production rifle, and I’m very pleased with the performance of it. It’s easy to shoot, easy to break in, easy to mount optics on, and seems to be a great gun for the price.

Ive posted this prior and its a true story alert:
My 6.5 Mesa shoots Hornady Eldx box ammo in 1 hole.
Not such an easy achievement for my aging bones.

20200215_181425.jpgthis is the first 6 shots from my Mesa prc. First one is the lowest one, second is the next lowest. My wife shot 2 of the rounds. Every target all the way through barrel break-in has been nearly 1-hole groups with factory Hornady Precision Hunter. I love how little recoil the rifle has with the pad and the factory brake, and the trigger is perfect.
